COOLAMON ART EXHIBITION OPENS THIS FRIDAY!
Coolamon’s popular Up-2-Date Art Exhibition opens its doors this Friday 20 July with leading Australian art market commentator, art educator and art dealer, Michael Reid, conducting this year’s official opening.
Being held at the historic Up-to-Date Store until 29 July, the Art Exhibition will showcase a range of artworks for public viewing and Artist-in Residence, Narelle Thomas, will be working each weekend of the Exhibition, demonstrating her techniques and materials. Judging and prizes will take place over the opening weekend.

Red Nose Day – Rural Style!
On Friday 29 June, Ganmain hosted the Ganmain Children’s Expo: Red Nose Day Rural Style event which celebrated 25 years of Red Nose Day.

Up-to-Date Store Cultural Precinct to be officially opened
After five years of planning and development, Coolamon’s Up-to-Date Store Cultural and Learning Precinct will be officially opened on Saturday 28 April as part of Heritage Week celebrations, with doors opening at 10am.
The Up-to-Date Store building was built in 1909 and purchased by Coolamon Shire in 1996. Over the years, the Shire has restored the building and developed the surrounding area to create a cultural and learning precinct that includes the Up-to-Date Store, museums, gallery space, exhibitions, an outdoor performance area, café and library.

Coolamon Shire wins tourism funding
Local businesses and tourism operators will receive a boost following Coolamon Shire’s successful funding application to Destination NSW to create a day trip campaign for the region.
With the help of Riverina Regional Tourism, the Shire submitted an application to support the development of the campaign, which will focus on increasing day trips Coolamon Shire and encouraging visiting friends and relatives to explore the region more widely during their stay.

Coolamon Garden Show blooms for Easter
Coolamon residents and visitors are invited to stop and smell the roses on Saturday 7 April when five households open up their beautiful and unique gardens as part of the Coolamon Garden Show.
The garden show will take place from 10am until 4pm and raises funds for playground equipment in Kindra Park in memory of Damien Piltz and Kate Furner, young Coolamon residents who died of leukaemia.
