COOLAMON ART EXHIBITION OPENS THIS FRIDAY!
Coolamon’s popular Up-2-Date Art Exhibition opens its doors this Friday 20 July with leading Australian art market commentator, art educator and art dealer, Michael Reid, conducting this year’s official opening.
Being held at the historic Up-to-Date Store until 29 July, the Art Exhibition will showcase a range of artworks for public viewing and Artist-in Residence, Narelle Thomas, will be working each weekend of the Exhibition, demonstrating her techniques and materials. Judging and prizes will take place over the opening weekend.
For the first time, a number of Aboriginal artworks have been entered into the Exhibition which will make for an exciting addition to the event.
Also being held over the opening weekend is the Coolgrass Music Concert. Showcasing a range of renowned bluegrass and folk musicians, the concert will take place at ‘Holy Basil’, the Old Methodist Church, on Saturday 21 July.
The Up-2-Date Art Exhibition official opening will be held on Friday 20 July at 7.30pm, with drinks and canapés served from 6.30pm. Tickets are $12.00 and available at the door. Following the opening night, the Exhibition will be open daily until Sunday 29 July, from 10.00am until 4.00pm. Entry is $4.00.
