Frank Bradley Sculpture

A remarkable sculpture of Frank Bradley stands tall in Ardlethan, the sculpture recognises his achievement of winning the well-known Stawell Gift in 1937.

The sculpture honours a local hero and a remarkable athlete. It pays tribute to his story and will continue to provide inspiration to the up and coming athletes of Ardlethan community.

The sculpture is made from recycled metal material by impressive Riverina artist, Andrew Whitehead. Unveiled in May 2017 by Neil Blizzard, Stawell Gift Athletic Club and Member for Riverina Michael McCormack MP.

Frank Bradley was born in Coolamon in July 1910, and purchased land in Beckom in early 1938 where he lived with his family. They then moved to Ardlethan where he was a resident until his passing in June 1997. Frank was well-known for being an active community member within the Ardlethan-Beckom district and was a strong member of many sporting organisations and groups.

Sculpture is located in Ariah Street Ardlethan
