Ganmain is situated about 55km north-west of Wagga Wagga and 50km east of Narrandera.  It’s a small rural community famous for its pies, agricultural show and pastoral history.

Ganmain Historical Museum: Houses a large collection of farming implements, household items, sporting and war memorabilia, photographic archive and newspaper items. Open Sundays, 1.00pm – 4.00pm or by appointment.

Murrumbang Interpretive Nature Walk: Take a stroll around the Ganmain Forest, railway dams and Boggy Creek on the Murrumbang Interpretive Nature Walk. The walk incorporates two bird hides, interpretive signage and an Interpretive Centre that provides picnic facilities.

Ganmain Hall Markets:  Held monthly, the Ganmain Hall Markets have over 30 regular stalls selling homemade products, produce and craft.

Ganmain Argricutlural Show: The Ganmain Show is renowned as one of the best country shows in the Riverina, and it certainly attracts the crowds. Held annually in August, the show features show jumping, a quick shear competition, side shows, fireworks and the famous Ganmain Pie eating competition.

Speaking of pies, if you’re feeling a bit peckish, a visit to the Ganmain Bakery is a must to sample the famous Ganmain Pie. For something a bit more filling, you can dine at the Ganmain Hotel, Bowling Club or Sportsclub for bistro style meals.

Visit Ganmain and experience the world as it used to be – welcoming, gentle and peaceful – whilst still having access to the conveniences of modern life.
