Capture the essence of the Coolamon Shire

We are pleased to announce The Capture Coolamon Shire Photography Competition is open! It’s time to get the camera out and start snapping!

The Capture Coolamon Shire Photography Competition is open to all photographers, young and old. However, the photos must have been taken within the Coolamon Shire Boundary.  With beautiful scenery, historic buildings, natural landmarks and an abundance of wildlife there is much and more to be photographed.

The entries will be exhibited at the Up 2 Date Store in Coolamon for two weeks following the official Opening Awards Evening on Friday, 1st of November 2013.  So make sure you head to the Up 2 Date store in November to get a glimpse of some of Coolamon’s budding photographers works.

Cost of entry is only $10 per print in the Open Section and $5 per print in the Under 17years Section.  Entries are capped at 5 in total and must be submitted as an 8”x12” enlargement print on photographic paper with no white border.  Please do not mount your photos or frame them.  A digital copy must also be submitted (300DPI and JPEG format). Each filename is to be saved as entrant surname, entrant first name and category.  The judging of the photographs will be undertaken by a panel of selected professional photographers.

Entries can be submitted to the Coolamon Shire Library by the 11thof October 2013 or posted to: Capture Coolamon Shire Photography Competition, P.O. Box 101, Coolamon NSW 2701.

Your Images can be collected from the Coolamon Shire Library between Tuesday the 19th and Friday, 29th of November, so don't worry you can still continue to showcase your work in your own home.

The competition will allow Coolamon Shire Council some fantastic shots to use as promotional purposes for the area! So your work will be showcased to the nation!

A photograph that is not shared is a photograph untaken!
