Coolamon says cheese!

The Coolamon Cheese factory project has been given the thumbs up with the building secured and work now underway. Limited investment opportunities are still available as the hard work of developing the project begins. Company Directors Barry Lillywhite and Anton Green are thrilled to see the dream become a reality.

After 4 years of planning and preparation the project is underway with cheese production expected to begin in August 2015 thanks to key stakeholders and investors. Support has come from the community at large through a Pozible Crowdfunding campaign together with a number of local residents who have made private investments in the company. Cheesemaker Barry Lillywhite says “without these investors this project would not have become a reality and we are excited that there are still opportunities for new investors to join the Coolamon Cheese family.”

Anton stated “we have always believed that Coolamon Cheese is an innovative idea which will deliver excellent products, great service and wonderful experiences. Now local support and a growing number of investors is proving that our community thinks so too.”

Barry said “after planning for so long it is exciting to see the project develop. If all goes to plan we hope to be making cheese by August and opening our doors before the end of the year.”
