PICTURE THIS! UP2DATE ART EXHIBITION COMES TO LIFE IN COOLAMON

Following the successful opening of the annual Up 2 Date Art Exhibition in Coolamon on Friday night, the organsing committee is excited to announce a new theatrical addition to the ten day program, with a Diana Lovett production titled ‘Picture This’ on site on Saturday July 26.

With two shows at 11.30am and 1.30pm, Diana Lovett and her team of actors will entice visitors to read beyond some of the artwork displayed at this years Up2 Date Art Exhibition.

Stroytelling comes alive, with actors sharing their visions with guests as they step into a picture and endevaour to take them on a journey. The vision of the actors may not be the same as the artist, as it is an artisitic exercise of interpretation of a story beyond the artwork.

Organsier of the Up 2 Date Art Exhibition, Marilyn Jennings, is exhibited to introduce this new element to the annual event.

“The committee is really excited to have Diana Lovett involved in this years event. Her theatrical production will provide a new elememnt to our event, allowing visitos to not only enjoy the great array of art works, but also to watch local performers telling a story about the works”

“This will bring the exhibition to life! We encourage local residents and visitors to come down to the Up to Date Store and Ajanta on Saturday for a great morning or afternoon!” commented Mrs Jennings.

This is a FREE event, with gold coin donation for entry to the exhibition.
