Ardlethan German Beer Festival
Are you looking for something to do this winter? The Coolamon Shire has a wealth of activity to get you out and about this winter! The inaugural WinterFest will kick off from the 1st to the 28th of July, showcasing a different town in the shire each week! So it’s time to mark your calendar and get set to head to Coolamon for an inspiring month of July!
WinterFest will be hosting a number of events that will showcase the historic and cultural assets of the Coolamon Shire and celebrate the arts! Rain, hail or shine Coolamon will open its doors and welcome its neighbours to enjoy an abundance of activities spanned over the month of July.
Up-2-Date Art Exhibition Opening Night
Ganmain will kick off WinterFest with the new addition Art By U 2702 Workshops on Thursday the 11th and Friday the 12th of July! Learn how to make lino prints, discover printing and cutting, plus sculpture and installation. Come Saturday the 13th of July you will be ready to enter in the Ganmain Art Competition and Exhibition themed ‘Fish out of Water’. There will also be a presentation and cocktail function to award the winners. Ganmain will come alive as it hosts food markets and hall markets on the Saturday morning.
Coolamon will once again showcase local artistic talent in the Up 2 Date Art Exhibition on Friday the 19th, which will be accompanied by workshops in the day run by one of the Riverina’s most well renowned artists, Suzanne Lindhorst.
For the second year, Coolamon will get visitors tapping their toes with the annual blue grass and folk music festival, Coolgrass on Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th of July! Enjoy canapés and entertainment from Hard Drive Bluegrass Band, Karen Lynne Bluegrass Circle and The Shiny Tops Strings. Try your hand at creating some Bluegrass tunes by attending the Bluegrass Workshops on Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st.
Ardlethan would like to welcome people to their town, Gutentag! Ardlethan will be hosting the Ardlethan German Beer Festival on Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th of July. The festival is themed all things German which means, German beer, German food and German performances! This will be accompanied by a German Street Party on Saturday the 27th, where the streets of Ardlethan will come alive with German inspired markets, German themed performances, folk dancing demonstrations and most importantly German beer tasting…. Mmmmm!
