Exuding history, character and charm, Coolamon is the ideal place to visit to experience the magic that is spring in the Riverina.

Featuring an award-winning heritage precinct, one-of-a-kind boutiques, and local eateries, Coolamon is the perfect place to meet up with friends or family for the day.

And with the chance to receive special offers at a number of local businesses during spring, now is the perfect time to make that day trip.

Coolamon Shire’s Tourism and Business Development Manager, Linda Tillman, said Coolamon Shire has so much to offer and day-trippers or visiting friends and relatives to the area could get lost exploring the museums, streetscapes and art and craft outlets.

Spring is also a busy time of the year for events in the Coolamon Shire, with agricultural shows, the Coolamon Scarecrow festival, the Capture Coolamon Shire Photography Competition and Exhibition, just to name a few.

“Only 40km from Wagga Wagga and right in the heart of the Riverina, Coolamon is a great place for a day-trip, to see something of the region you haven’t seen before, or a place to bring your visiting friends and family who want to see a beautiful, relaxed country town.”

To encourage more visitors to the Coolamon Shire this spring, a day-trip brochure has been developed highlighting the local attractions as well as money savers vouchers – downloadable from the website – which are designed to boost spending with the local businesses and operators.

“Our local businesses offer unique gifts and homewares, tasty food and coffee and services which are all just as competitively priced as those in larger centres.”

Treats and Treasures Collectables and Antiques, the Coolamon Hotel, Adarma’s Coffee House @ the Ganmain Providore, Coolamon Country Bakehouse, The Riverina Cupcake Company, Coolamon Foodworks, Mummy and Me Photography, Ajanta Café and Sweet Briar B&B and Cottages are some of the businesses offering discounts for visitors to the Shire.

The money money savers vouchers can be downloaded from www.coolamonshire.com.au and are valid until November 1, 2012.
