‘Awakening Needs’ exhibition is an immersive experience which encourages us to explore deeply the language and felt sense of our human needs like Love, Connection, Integrity and Trust. As we take time to contemplate what meets our needs, we discover the qualities that bring meaning and vitality to our experience of life. Connecting in this way allows us the space and time to delve deeper than the rational mind allows, into the ancient profound wisdom that lies in our natural world and deep within each one of us. It is these qualities that unite us as human beings, rather than divide us. Whilst we all possess a similar set of needs, their importance and the ways we like to have those needs met is what makes us unique.

Linda Nolan is a local Riverina artist who draws inspiration from the natural beauty of the region to inspire her art and teaching practice. Linda has a special talent of expressing emotion through her artworks, inviting the observer into connection with the art and within themselves. In this exhibition she uses watercolours which reflect the beauty of Australian hues and the natural environment to bring each of the needs to life in an evocative way. The gentle tones and relaxed form invite us to take time in contemplation, to seek depth and meaning through connection with our inner experience.
