Live Music, Food and Family Fun Set for Coolamon NYE Street Party

Coolamon is set to welcome the New Year in style with the return of the much-loved Coolamon NYE Street Party on Wednesday 31 December 2025 from 6–10pm.

This free, family-friendly celebration will transform Cowabbie Street into an event space filled with live music, entertainment and activities for all ages. Locals and visitors are invited to gather with friends and family for an evening of fun, food and community spirit.

The event will feature:

  • Live music by The Mighty Yak

  • A kids zone with jumping castle, rides, face painting, petting zoo, photobooth, giant outdoor games and more. For $15 per child, they get unlimited access to these activities. This year’s Kids Zone major sponsor is Coolamon Chaser Bins, helping ensure plenty of fun and excitement for younger partygoers.

  • A variety of food vendors, plus local cafés Coolamon Cheese Co, Barty’s cafe and the Royal Tavern open throughout the night

  • A relaxed street-party atmosphere – just bring a picnic rug or chair and enjoy the sunset.

  • The night concludes with an impressive fireworks display at 10pm.

Event organiser Laura Munro said the Street Party continues to be a highlight on the local events calendar.

“The NYE Street Party is all about bringing people together. It’s a relaxed, family-friendly celebration where locals and visitors can enjoy great entertainment in a safe and fun environment. There’s something special about celebrating New Year’s Eve right in the centre of town. “Seeing our heritage main street transformed into a lively event space is something we are really proud of.”

Live entertainment will be led by crowd favourites The Mighty Yak, delivering an evening of non-stop music guaranteed to get the street dancing.

This council-run event is proudly supported by Coolamon Shire Council and our generous local sponsors. Major sponsors are Coolamon Chaser Bins and Beyond Bank, with support from FoodWorks Coolamon, Fair Dinkum Builds Havashed, Royal Tavern Coolamon, Coolamon CDAT, and the Rotary Club of Coolamon.

“Events like this showcase what makes Coolamon Shire special – a strong community, supporting local businesses and a welcoming atmosphere. We believe it’s the perfect way to see out the new year.”
