Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!

Yesterday, crowds from across the shire descended on Marrar Public School to celebrate the contributions of numerous individuals and community groups at this years Australia Day Ceremony. 

Following the raising of the flag, Mayor John Seymour spoke of protecting the values that make up our nation before introducing this year's Ambassador, James Pittar. James inspired all attending with his Australia Day message and speech highlighting the importance of family, friends and community spirit.

Shane Till Memorial Award For Sporting Achievement: Ryan Carmichael

Young Sportsperson of the Year: Jeromy Lucas

Community Event/Community Group of the Year: Up2Date Art Exhibition

Coolamon Shire would like to thank each of the winners and nominees for their continued work in the community. A special thanks also goes to the Advance Marrar Committee and all those who helped in the organisation of this years celebrations. A great day was had by all.
