Up2Date Art Exhibition celebrates in style

The Up2Date Art Exhibition celebrated its tenth anniversary on Friday evening with approximately 150 people attending the Opening Night at the Up-to-Date Store Cultural Precinct

The Official Opening was conducted by Bishop Rob Gillion, Anglican Bishop, Diocese of Riverina, and Regional Arts Development Officer, Scott Howie of Eastern Riverina Arts.

The award winners for each of the 7 Sections were announced on the night with the Beyond Bank Open Art Prize going to Corowa artist, Joy Schmidt for her oil painting “Running Creek”. The winner of Section 7 themed "Things with Wings" was Kylie Van Tol of Wagga Wagga (pictured right).

Artist in Residence Jenny Newbound also of Wagga Wagga entered a selection of works alongside 100 other artists from throughout the Riverina. 

With over 400 entries received in 2015, of which the quality was outstanding, the future of the annual Art Exhibition looks bright. 

The Exhibition will run until Sunday 26th July, entry is $4 per person, children under 12 years are free.
