There’s something magical about an Australian summer… the intense heat of the day, the shimmering landscape, the changing sky and then that beautiful moment when the sun begins to soften and everything seems to breathe again.

After the Heat is all about capturing that feeling. 🌅

This is a wonderfully open-ended class, so your painting can be whatever your Australian summer looks and feels like.

🌾 A sun-baked country landscape
🌳 A shady gum tree
🌊 A glowing coastal scene
🌩️ A summer storm brewing
🌸 A sun-drenched garden
🏡 A country shed or old fence
🦜 An Australian bird
🎨 Or something completely imagined from the colours and atmosphere of summer.

We’ll explore acrylic techniques, colour, light, atmosphere, texture and creating that gorgeous Australian summer glow — but there’s no need for everyone to paint the same thing.

And if you’re thinking, “I’m not really an artist…” — that’s where I come in! 😉
