Once a year the Ganmain Historical Society Museum hosts an Open Day on the second last weekend of March attracting visitors from far and wide. Locals are encouraged to put this on the calendar as the Museum really is a hidden gem within our Shire.
As well as being able to view the hundreds of museum pieces Open Day visitors step back into yesteryear as they are treated to a range of live exhibitions such as blacksmithing, rope making and more. Mr Jones showcases his working Clydesdales and members even crank up some of their vintage machinery - a true sight to see!
Gate entry is $5 per adult and $2 per child. There is also Devonshire teas and a BBQ lunch on offer, country hospitality at its best, don't miss this wonderful event!
This event is hosted and organised by the Ganmain Historical Society.
